<---Jerry takes a call from one of the Kidders!
The show features WGN-AM’s Jerry Agar and Jerry Kidders.
WGN talk radio veteran Jerry Agar shares the ups and downs of a radio talk show host in this new stage comedy. This fictional and funny story is a tale of one man’s slide down the radio dial and the callers who take him on that ride, played by comedians Tim Slagle, Ken Sevara and Dobie Maxwell, who appear on WGN as “Jerry’s Kidders.”
Agar spoofs talk radio as he creates a fictionalized version of himself. The audience can expect to take a wild ride on the roller coaster of Jerry's past radio career, the mishaps that get him bumped from job after job and the call-in fans who get him in trouble. Cecilie D. Keenan directs.
Agar has long been a listener favorite in the Kansas City, New York and Chicago markets.
Political satirist Tim Slagle is a twenty-five year veteran of the comedy club circuit and has performed in most of the 50 states, Canada, and Mexico.
Ken Sevara has appeared at such legendary venues as The Playboy Club circuit, Zanies and Chicagofest. In addition to his club work, Sevara has performed in concert, sharing the stage with The Miami Sound Machine, Richard Lewis and Jerry Seinfeld.
Dobie Maxwell has been touring North America as a professional standup comedian since 1985. He has performed throughout the US and Canada in comedy clubs, colleges and concert halls. Maxwell has performed with Drew Carey, Dana Carvey, Jeff Foxworthy, Rosie O'Donnell, Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and recently appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
